1. What is the difference between The Loop and The Loop+?

The Loop is Lung Health Foundation’s communication network that shares updates, newsletters, and information about programs, events, and opportunities.

The Loop+ is our interactive online community platform where members can access programs, support groups, wellness initiatives, advocacy opportunities, research engagement, live chats, and connect with the LHF team and others living with lung conditions.

2. How do I log into The Loop+?

You can log in to The Loop+ using the email address you registered with. Visit the login page and enter your credentials to access the community platform.

3. How do I register for LHF programs and events?

Programs, events, support groups, and wellness initiatives can be accessed through The Loop+. Once registered, navigate to the “Gather and Grow” or “Research News and opportunities” spaces to view upcoming opportunities and registration details.

4. Where can I find the links for support groups and Coffee Chats?

Links for support groups, Coffee Chats, and other virtual events are shared directly within The Loop+ platform as well as in our monthly newsletter. Members can access event details and join links through the relevant community spaces or event posts.

5. What if I do not have internet access?

Support groups, Coffee Chats and webinars offer a phone call-in option so members can participate without internet access. Contact our team at patientsupport@lunghealth.ca or call 1-888-344-LUNG (5864) for available dial-in information for upcoming sessions

6. Why am I not receiving emails or newsletters?

If you are not receiving emails us:

  • Check your junk or spam folder
  • Add our email address to your safe sender list
  • Ensure you registered with the correct email address

7. How do I connect with others who have similar lung conditions and experiences?

The Loop+ offers multiple ways to connect with others in a safe and supportive online community. Members can join virtual support groups and coffee chats, participate in live chats, and engage in discussion spaces designed for condition-specific conversations and shared experiences.

Within the platform, you can comment on posts, join wellness programs, and take part in peer support opportunities. Hosted on the Circle platform, The Loop+ also allows members to interact directly with one another through discussions, messaging, and chat features- all within a moderated, secure environment.

8. I’m having trouble accessing The Loop+ and other LHF programs and services. What should I do?

If you’re experiencing difficulties accessing The Loop+ or any Lung Health Foundation (LHF) programs or services, we’re here to help. You can contact our Patient Support Line at patientsupport@lunghealth.ca or call 1-888-344-LUNG (5864), where a member of our team can provide guidance and assist you with any technical or access-related issues.

We understand that navigating online platforms can sometimes be challenging, and we’re happy to support you every step of the way. 

9. How do I book a CRE appointment?

To book an appointment with a Certified Respiratory Educator (CRE), please contact Patient Support at patientsupport@lunghealth.ca or call 1-888-344-LUNG (5864). The team will coordinate your request and schedule the appointment with a CRE.

Members on The Loop+ can also ask general respiratory health questions within the “Ask the Expert” space, where CREs and other lung health experts will provide educational information and support.

10. What programs and opportunities do Lung Health Foundation offer for people with lived experience?

Lung Health Foundation offers a variety of programs, services, and engagement opportunities for individuals living with or affected by lung conditions.

  • My Lung Health Coach (MLHC)
    A free virtual COPD self-management and education program delivered by Certified Respiratory Educators (CREs). Participants receive one-on-one personalized coaching, education, and support to help better manage their lung health. 

  • Fitness for Breath
    A virtual exercise and wellness program designed specifically for people living with lung conditions. The program includes guided exercise videos and classes focused on improving movement, confidence, breathing, and overall quality of life.

  • Support Groups and Coffee Chats
    Virtual community spaces where individuals can connect with others living with lung conditions, share experiences, ask questions, and receive encouragement and support in a welcoming environment. LHF’s monthly support and education group meetings feature guest speakers who provide participants with valuable information and education related to lung health.

  • Peer Mentor and Community Connection Opportunities
    Opportunities to connect with others who have similar lived experiences through The Loop+ community platform, including one-on-one chats, discussions, live forums, and peer engagement spaces.

  • Educational Webinars and Events
    Interactive webinars and educational sessions featuring healthcare professionals, experts, and guest speakers on topics related to lung health, disease management, wellness, advocacy, and healthcare navigation.

  • Ask the Expert
    A dedicated space within The Loop+ where members can ask general questions and access educational information from respiratory educators and lung health experts.

  • Research and Advocacy Opportunities
    Members can participate in advocacy initiatives, awareness campaigns, research engagement opportunities, and “Share Your Story” initiatives to help shape the future of lung health programs and services.

  • Resource Library and Lung Health Education
    Access free downloadable resources, educational materials, self-management tools, and trusted lung health information to support everyday living and disease management
